aerosoft has released a new 3d airport scenery for x-plane. this is the first x-plane airport scenery to include the london heathrow international airport. this is their first scenery based around a real-world airport and features an animated apron scene and five terminals. the 3d model is particularly impressive and is an impressive addition to any sim.

the visuals for the airport are remarkable, and the scene itself is a great addition to the x-plane scenery selection. in the past, aerosoft has been known for their scenery made for the older version of the x-plane aircraft. while they did add a new scenery for their users with the last version, it was lacking a bit of the realism that is now present with this release. for instance, the new scenery does not have the vertical push-pull effects that are present at real airports.

the realism factor is incredibly high in the new aerosoft airport scenery for x-plane 11. the new scenery includes all of the necessary features to make your flight experience as realistic as possible. you can see the runway markings, runways, taxiways, nav beacons, and more.
Faggins. I can’t believe that Aerosoft decided not to include a few ground charts with their project. I don’t know who would have allocated the 2 charts (Baudelaire 466 and LAD 591/488/400. Of course there’s no way that Aerosoft would not include a static build in the final release, so hopefully we have been unlucky and that’s why these charts are not included? Either way, I have a huge amount of time invested in exploring the CATO project, and decided to download the ground route charts from the Aerosoft website as I only wanted to use them to confirm the design of the airport, and then remove them from the scenery at a later date.
The only problem with that is now Aerosoft seem to have a habit of offering bundles that include the full set of charts as, if you check out their Aerosoft Airport project on Vuespire you will see that it seems to be a complete set of charts for both London Heathrow and London Gatwick airports.
A very cool airport indeed. Taking into account the effort to create this has to be massive. And seems like the buildings are for and not-for, which is a little misleading as in some places there are many types of environment going on, but others, I don’t think there are. Anyway awesome scenery. I’ve downloaded, and will be playing with it later.
Well, it really does look good. I’ve downloaded it, and will be playing with it later. Maybe a little disappointed with the lack of animation, but I guess that’s why they’re called static. Certainly a far cry from the airport I’m used to, but it looks like its gonna be nice once its done. Keep up the good work Aerosoft.
