What Photoshop Is and Is Not
Adobe calls Photoshop a raster image editor, but it also allows users to manipulate vector images, such as Adobe Illustrator, which is a vector-based drawing program for creating shapes and graphics. Vector images can be scaled indefinitely and the vectors remain intact if you resize an image.

Prerequisites
Before you start learning Photoshop, you should have basic knowledge of English and a basic understanding of navigating a graphical user interface.
A computer running Windows.
Printouts of pages and drawings are handy for practicing the exercises. A digital camera is ideal, but any device with a camera will do.
An image of any size is fine for the exercises, but we recommend that you create one of your own.
You will need to download the free trial version of Adobe Photoshop Elements. After you have downloaded and installed the program, download this file.
Steps
Set Up
To start Photoshop Elements, choose Start ⇒ All Programs ⇒ Adobe Photoshop Elements 10.
Choose Help and Support to access the help information and screen containing key information about Photoshop Elements, such as the product key and the edition of the program you’re running.
Read the User’s Guide, Introduction, and the Getting Started with Photoshop Elements and then click Next.
The Customize Your Programs screen opens, where you can specify which programs Photoshop Elements should start with every time you start the program, and which programs you can start up without Photoshop Elements. To get started, choose the Normal or Default option, then click Next.
If you are prompted to restart Photoshop Elements, choose Yes. Restart the program now to apply the changes you made to the program.

If the Photoshop Elements screen opens instead, click the Adobe Photoshop Elements Installer icon and follow the prompts to complete the installation process.
Choose Continue.
Click the Start button, and then choose No to begin using Photoshop Elements.

Using Photoshop Elements
Photoshop Elements comes with an empty image folder, and you’ll find more information about using folders in this How To: Using Photoshop Elements. This information is also available via the Help menu.
Add a New Image
Start by selecting File ⇒ New from the main menu.
Browse the folders in your computer to find a new image file to start with. If you don’t find an image, you can draw one in the Start From Desktop dialog that appears. Type an appropriate filename and click Open to select the image.

In this paper, we reviewed the current status of risk compensation in industrial compensation law and examined the justification of the compensation based on negligence standard. In Japan, injuries resulting from industrial accidents have long been the focus of attention of occupational health and safety at companies, and even for public institutions. Generally, all legal aspects of personal injuries are covered under the law of general protection from injury.
