Raiden IV: OverKill Quests consist of a series of seven missions. For every mission, the player will need to survive for a certain amount of time without being hit.
The Raiden IV: OverKill Challenge mode is an endurance mode. In this mode, the player will get points for every enemy that he or she destroys. To begin, the player only gets 5 points per enemy, but if they beat that amount, the points will raise to 10, and then 20, and so on. The top score is 1

was always a big fan of the original series. Also, after playing the game, I’m considering whether the PC version isn’t a perfect fit for me. I’m considering blowing $15 on that one in order to play it on a system that I would probably like. But I’m looking to see what you guys think.
I’m definitely going to order it at retail, but I want to at least understand the experience that you guys are getting when you play the game on a PC.
wouldnt recommend this for a 10 year old on the super nintendo however, Raiden 4: OverKill is a hardcore 80’s game that demands more from a core engine.
if you are new to arcade game genre I suggest either about game or original Raiden and I love the first 2 games which is more gameplay and more of technicality, Raiden 4 has more of cinematic style and intense action.
This game is a bit of a mixed bag.
Pros
Gameplay is okay, although as the series went on the game got more and more frustrating. The combos get more and more difficult as the game goes on, and that kind of got on my nerves, almost to the point where I just wanted to quit the game. The combos get so difficult that it takes forever to clear them all off the screen so then you’re back to the loop. The game had some cool new mechanics, like the meter that flashes after knocking down an enemy, which is now altered if you “activate” a special item, but I just didn’t enjoy the game much.
Cons
– The fight/story mode sucked, and got worse each time around. It used to be the best, but then it was just a boring and extremely cheap “what-if” scenario that didn’t really go anywhere. Instead of things that happen in real life, it was a boring re-do of what happened in the first game. The second two were significantly worse and just completely boring and dragged on. They were so bad they actually made the first one look appealing, which is always a bad sign. I kept getting the feeling that they were saving the best fight for the last game… and I was proven right.
– 3rd and 4th modes were fun, but became repetitive and it didn’t feel like a new game (like the first one did).
