Monstermonger is an American alternative hip hop duo from Los Angeles. The group, which was formed in 1992, gained recognition starting with their first studio release, The Big Issue and a stamp and start date in the catalogue of releases, titled In Dreams. BOTOLO is a stand-alone game. There are no expansions planned. The core of the gameplay is everything.
How is the game played?
In BOTOLO, you play as the BALL. You run to intercept your opponent’s highlighted minds and place the ball (also known as your FLEET, and highlighted in the player’s mind) into the pockets of the opponent’s mind. The goal is to intercept as many minds as you can, and as fast as you can, and move into as many of your opponent’s pockets as possible.
But! You can’t just go in and grab everyone’s mind right away. While you are intercepting your opponent, you will be locked down in their mind. When you are locked down, you cannot gain a mind. However, don’t worry! The more you are locked down, the more your fleet is protected and the less likely they are to be exposed.
When you are ready to attack, you can move into an opponent’s mind. However, they can also move into yours. If you can hold their mind, you have the power to steal it! Power to them is precious and it’s what you are striving to achieve.
Once you have captured an opponents minds, you must place the ball in a pocket by surrounding it with a pattern.
There are four patterns, and a multitude of patterns within them. The more minds you can surround with the pattern, the more points you get!

The more pockets you get in your patterns, the more power you gain, which in turn is represented by the colored hearts in the screenshot above. A higher amount of hearts show you the more power the players has. Keep in mind though that the COIN will never change color (except during the deployment phase), so no need to worry about them.
Capturing an opponents pattern gets you a special reward, but be careful. When you are in an opponent’s mind, you will not be as well protected, which can cause you to lose your own minds more easily. So, capture that pattern, but don’t lose your own minds!
